Mawlid al-Nabi 2015 – His Character was the Qur’an

Events

Our greatest source for the blessed life and noble virtues of the Chosen One, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is undoubtedly the Qur’an. The more we increase in our Qur’anic understanding the more we draw nearer to realising our potential to know, love and obey our Dear Master.

There could be no greater way to celebrate the blessed arrival of the Prophet of mercy than studying and living the words of Allah.

We are privileged to be granted the opportunity to host one of the worlds greatest recitors, Qari Yasser Abdul Basit Abdus Samad from Egypt, son to a pious man of great achievements and international recognition in the world of Qur’anic recitation. May Allah grant eternal peace to his father and a blessed residence near to the Prophetic abode in al-Firdaus. Ameen

Join us on Sunday 11th January 2015 at the Ya Sin Institute, 2 Russell Street. The short gathering is open to brothers and sisters and will start after Maghrib (4:20) till around 7:30.

Other guests include Qari Abu Adam Akhlaq al-Azhari, Syed Haikal Muflahi and Mikhael Mala. The gathering will conclude with a talk by Ustadh Abd al-Rahman al-Azhari, Insha Allah.

Weekly Mawlid Al-Nabi

Mawlid al-Nabi

The chosen wayfarers of the Chosen Messenger come together to celebrate God’s greatest bounty. Every moment of Prophetic praise brings closer the heart to its beloved destination and eternal abode. The home we came from and the home we shall return to. With this conviction that the only entrance into the Divine Presence is through the door of Al- Mustafa, the community celebrates Allah’s Mercy and Grace upon humanity.

Not only is he a perfect mercy for all the worlds but he alone is our supreme guide to our Creator and Provider. Through his love and obedience alone we discover the realities of pure faith, the treasures of blessed cognisance and the sweetness of Divine proximity.

What greater means could there be to present salutations to our Master than the blessed Shimmering Light, put together by one who is a living embodiment of Prophetic Light in the modern world. A light Allah has placed in the lives of millions including many of the great scholars and Awliya of this beautiful Ummah.

The gathering will incorporate a weekly Khatm (completion) of the Qur’an. It is hoped participants can take a Juz to recite for the following week, with the final Surahs recited collectively at the gathering. On the day of reckoning, the only pain expressed by the Prophet will be for the community who abandoned the Qur’an.

We hope to start at 7.30 pm on Thursdays at 2 Russell Street, Nelson, BB9 7NZ with our first gathering of the year 1436, on Thursday 30 October. Please join the lovely team who initiated this noble practice in Nelson. May Allah bless them.

It’s open to brothers and sisters and oh yes we can anticipate some sort of food arrangements.
